The tagline "Black money is good money" sheds a positive light on banking Black, so I placed it on the bank setup screen, as well as ordered the Black banks to come above the others to encourage banking Black even further. I also created advertisements for future social media campaigns and trade shows.
I also played with the idea of introducing a card that offered rewards for banking and shopping Black. To further expound on Black wealth, I created BLACOIN, a cryptocurrency to support the cause. I always have a lot of ideas as you can see. :)
My client had a beyond brilliant idea - to create an app to encourage banking and shopping Black. But he just didn't know how he would execute it. So, after a few moments of thinking, I came up with BLACASH.
The name of the app and the logo came to me almost instantly, and I couldn't wait to get to work. After researching several banking applications and platforms, I discovered that simplicity wins in terms of the user interface and experience, so I decided what better color to lead with than black. Black represents timelessness, power, elegance and sophistication.
Inspired by one of the most well-known payment exchange apps, Cash App, the cent sign just happened to work effortlessly in the middle of the wordmark. I found that it works wonders as a sub-mark for the application icon as well. It's well recognizable and easy to read.
